Cocoons Straight Full.JPG

“Pure Gold”

Medium:

The amazing silk cocoons of the Cricula moth (Cricula trifenestrata) found in the Philippines, India, and Siri Lanka.

These cocoons are so very unique.
They are not a contained vessel like other cocoons. instead, they are Lacey caps that the silk worm attaches to a tree branch.
The beautiful golden color is all natural created by the moth’s Sericin protein.
